Would Be Robber Gives New Meaning to the Term "Handgun"

Early one January morning, while much of San Diego was off to finish out the first work week of the New Year, a Bay Park store clerk took notice of a young white or possibly Hispanic male lingering around the then Golden Bear fuel station convenience store. The employee was unaware that the hooded loiterer would be paying her a second visit a few days later but this time demanding cash.
At 8:00 AM on January 6, 2012, a man in his late teens to early twenties was seen entering a gas station convenience store located on Morena Blvd. and now owned by Arco. He walked around the store while talking on his cell phone and informed the clerk that he was waiting on a ride from a friend. He eventually leaves the store alone and on foot.
Just four days later the same young male returns to the gas station at 7:00 AM wearing gloves and a dust mask. The suspect attempts to open the convenience store doors but to no avail; they are locked. The clerk who was working the previous week is inside the store and recognizes the suspect from his January 6th visit. He tells her to open the door but she refuses.
He proceeds to the security glass window where he instructs the victim to push all the money in the register through the opening of the security window. But she refuses yet again. Angered by the clerk's lack of cooperation he fashions a "gun" using his index finger and thumb and taps it against the side of his forehead threatening that he will return for her and flees the scene on foot.

Both incidents were caught on surveillance video tape, however police authorities are still searching for the would be robber.
